Boys Junior Varsity Soccer, Boys Varsity Soccer · Wolves defeat the Bobcats 2-0

After a long break and a heartbreaking overtime loss to Weber the team got back into region play as they traveled up to Smithfield to take on Skyview.  Expecting a tough game, the wolves came out quickly with possession where Kofi Herrick found a wide open Alec Ferrin who slammed a shot past Skyview’s keeper eight minutes into the contest, giving the wolves a 1-0 lead, and that’s how it would end in the first half.

In the second half, Talon Smith made his mark with a hustle play and Alec Ferrin giving him some assistance swallowed up three defenders and slotted a pass to a turning Talon who shot it by the keeper to give the wolves a 2-0 lead.  The Bobcats pressured back but it was to no avail with our strong defense and good middle play to give the wolves a 2-0 victory.

The JV squad also played extremely well with the same result (2-0 victory) with goals coming from Lance Graves and Jaden Pond.

Both teams play Northridge tomorrow (Thursday, April 13) at home.
