Fremont had a solid state tournament, finishing 3rd overall. They placed 9 out of the 13 qualifiers, and crowned a freshman state champion for the second year in a row. Freshman Brayden Clark led the charge by defeating Brayden Mogle of Mt. Crest 8-4 to secure the state title. Other Freshman standout Mason Denton finished 4th, making it two years in a row, and only the third time in school history that two freshman have collected all state honors. Tayton Bennett, Colby Bowden, and Kegan Leatherow finished with 1st team all state honors, while Jeff Hardy, Hunter Anderson, Davian Hendrix, and Jacob Shaffer finished with 2nd team all state honors. The team returns 7 state placers next year, while graduating some great senior leadership. This season Fremont wrestling finished 1st in region, 2nd in dual state, and 3rd in the team state competition. Congrats to these amazing student athletes for their accomplishments this season.
